Colorado Gives Day

Event Description

Colorado’s largest day of giving, Colorado Gives Day, is taking place on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. On this day, thousands of people come together to support Colorado nonprofits like ours through online giving.

When you donate to the Golden Triangle Creative District (GTCD), you are helping us achieve our neighborhood advocacy, infrastructure, maintenance and event programming goals. Your donation will help fund a Golden Triangle tree-planting project, additional neighborhood trash receptacles, and will allow us to continue to influence and advocate on behalf of the neighborhood on topics including zoning updates, land development, homelessness and more. Funding also provides for favorite GTCD events like Final Fridays, Third Thursday Happy Hours, and our Fall Fundraiser which we look forward to adding back as soon as it’s safe to do so.

Here’s how it works: Colorado Gives Day is on Tuesday, December 8th, but donations can be scheduled any time on or before that date. Here are some of our 2020 accomplishments:

• Hosted our second annual mural painting event, COLORCON 2020, in August. We were at capacity for all time slots!
• Fabricated and installed 4 additional neighborhood trash receptacles with Colorado Creative Industries grant funding
• Updated and distributed our printed Golden Triangle neighborhood directory booklet
• Designed and installed 15 new neighborhood pet station signs
• Ran a social media ad campaign in support of our neighborhood businesses with Colorado Creative Industries grant funding
• In response COVID-19 restrictions, added resource pages to our website designed to encourage ongoing community support of local businesses and organizations, and to provide residents with links to online cultural resources
• Created a Homelessness Task Force to address neighborhood concerns and propose tangible solutions to the community, City Council and Mayor’s office
• Continued participation in the Golden Triangle neighborhood zoning and design update process
