Event Description

On Saturday, July 15 join Rachael Storm, History Colorado Curator and Banana expert on a walking tour of City Park and learn about the interesting connection between bananas and American imperialism.

Colorado fell in love with the banana in the 1910s, but why? And what was the banana’s tie to the larger role America was taking in her expansion into her Central and South American neighbors?

On the tour you will visit the City Park Farmer’s Market and Ba-Nom-A-Nom food truck for some delicious banana-based “nice cream”. Dairy free, gluten free, and delicious, this treat is included in the ticket price! Click here to reserve your tickets.
