Dr. Carlotta Walls LaNier is a civil rights advocate, author, and National Women’s Hall of Fame inductee.

At the age of 14, Dr. Carlotta Walls LaNier was the youngest of the nine Black students known as the Little Rock Nine who integrated Little Rock Central High School in 1957. Carlotta endured constant harassment, intimidation, and threats as she courageously fought for school desegregation, becoming a Civil Rights icon. Hear her story of strength and resilience that encourages us all to pay attention to the lessons of history and to stay vigilant in fighting for equality.
