Join Denver Art Museum on Sunday, July 9 from 11 am to 4 pm for their Lowrider Show and Shine event. The Denver Art Museum Lowrider Show and Shine is a moment to celebrate with community the artistry and presence of lowriders in Denver, and the opening of the exhibition Desert Rider: Dreaming in Motion. The exhibition, open from July 9 to September 24, 2023, highlights how Southwestern Latinx and Indigenous artists express identity, pride, and a sense of community by transforming vehicles – such as lowriders and skateboards – associated with the western U.S.
This free family-friendly event will feature lowriders, local vendors, delicious food, music, and free admission to the Denver Art Museum. Click here for additional details, including location and road closures.
This moment will also coincide with ¡Viva! Streets Denver, hosted by the Downtown Denver Partnership, which will close Broadway between Alameda and 20th Street.
