Event Description

Urban Villages is hosting a community art day! Please see the information below shared with us.
____

With Spring finally here…maybe? We thought it would be fun to add some color and new gardens in our Golden Triangle neighborhood – especially with all the construction going on. Will you join us for a community art day to be a part of the painting of a new mural?

I think we can all agree that construction fences are no fun, so instead we are partnering with the Denver Park Trust to add a new pollinator garden, and with a local nature focused artist Nick Ward to paint a mural about the connection between community, nature, and places.

We are moving the fences back at two of our development sites along 12th Avenue and Bannock Street by 12 feet to offer more public space to the community that in addition to an art mural and pollinator garden, we are providing more outdoor dining space for Leven Deli, and space to SCRAPs for a neighborhood composting station.

To kick this effort off, please join us for a community art day on Friday, April 28 and/or Sunday, April 30 anytime between 10:30 am and 6:30 pm. We will be painting the backdrop to the mural in the first step of the Pollinator Garden. Light refreshments will be provided.

This is also a great opportunity to make a team event so invite your coworkers or neighbors!

Contact Adam Perkins at adam.perkins@urban-villages.com to RSVP.
