Vance Kirkland’s Cosmos exhibition at Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art closes this Sunday, May 28. If you haven’t had a chance to view this beautiful collection, stop by this weekend!
This is the museum’s first temporary exhibition of Kirkland’s work in 20 years. During the last half of his career, Kirkland’s imagination led him to create numerous series depicting the evolution and expansion of his own universe, culminating in his vibrant Dot Paintings. This exhibition shows examples of that work and includes some of the artist’s impressive large-scale paintings, seldom seen on public display.
Open Saturday 11 am-5 pm and Sunday 12pm to 5 pm.
