Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art

Have you always thought that Grandma Jones’ butter dish was an amazing work of art? If so, it might be in the Kirkland (yes, this really happened to me). The Kirkland has a vast collection of 4,400 artworks and objects on view: everything from sofas, radios and teacups highlighting the decorative arts to Vance Kirkland’s studio and works of art from Kirkland himself.

In 2022, the Kirkland is celebrating renowned American architect and designer, Frank Lloyd Wright. When designing an architectural masterpiece, Wright also developed furniture, tableware, and art glass. Some of these items from 11 different Wright projects will be shown from the Kirkland’s permanent collection beginning June 17th in a new show, Frank Lloyd Wright Inside the Walls.
